Robert Lawrence Stine was born on October 8, 1943. He is an American novelist, short story writer, television producer, screenwriter and executive editor. His star sign is Libra and his Chinese zodiac is Goat.
His two pen names are Jovial Bob Stine and Eric Affabee.
He is the oldest son of Lewis Stein and Anne Feinstein; and the older brother of Bill and Pam.
When Robert was nine years old, he found a typewriter in his attic, he started to type many funny stories and joke books. He read some comic books of Tales from the Crypt when he was young and creates them as one of the inspirations.
Robert was making his name into himself as well as R.L. Stine because he pursues his career as writer when moving to the New York. He wrote some dozens of many humor books for kids under the name Jovial Bob Stine and created these humor magazine: Bananas for the Scholastic Press.
At first, R.L. Stine had started to write the horror novels which are known as Fear Street, Goosebumps, Rotten School, Mostly Ghostly and The Nightmare Room series. Every horror fiction books are created and authored for once, R.L. Stine completely wrote a lot when he's a novelist, a writer and author.
On 22 June 1969, R.L. Stine married Jane Waldhorn, an editor and writer.
He is the father of Matthew Stine and the grandfather of Dylan.
