Junji Ito is the youngest of the three children, he had two elder sisters who read these horror comics, he shared a horror comic to read with his sisters.
He started to write and draw at the age of four or five; he was inspired by both his older sister's drawings and the comic works of Kazuo Umezu and has cited Hideshi Hino, Shinichi Koga, Yasutaka Tsutsui and H.P. Lovecraft as being major influences on his work. He created his own characters are Tomie and Souichi Tsuji. He watched a show called Frankenstein!
He got his notable works are Tomie (first comic story revolved an immortal girl who drives her stricken admirers to madness), Uzumaki (a second comic story made the three - volume series about the town obsessed with spirals) and Gyo (a third comic story made the two - volume series where the fish are controlled by the strain of sentient bacteria called "the death stench".
His works are known as the different short stories.
He is the husband of Ayako Ishiguro and had two children.
